School Rezoning -- What it means for Morningside

All four of the rezoning proposals presented by Atlanta Public Schools' demographers threaten the values and interests of the Morningside community. In one proposal, some children are bused out of our community even though they live withina half mile (walking distance) of Morningside Elementary. In all four options, our entire community is removed from Inman Middle School: our children who can currently walk and bike to middle school (many are too close to even qualify for bus service) will have to be bused to an undetermined Buckhead location several miles from our neighborhoods. In two options, MES is moved out of the Grady High School to the new North Atlanta High School, currently being constructed 10 miles across town!
