MLPA Zoning Committee is comprised of MLPA residents and the meetings are open to neighborhood residents. They are held the first Tuesday of the month at 7:30p.m at Morningside Presbyterian Church on North Morningside Dr. All neighbors interested in zoning matter affecting the neighborhood are welcome to be on the committee. To become a member, attend 3 of the monthly meetings within a 6 month period. You are allowed to vote on matters after your third meeting.

Whether you’re thinking about a remodel, wondering how to look up how a particular property is zoned, or want to know if the remodel next door is obeying all the zoning laws in place, we can point you in the right direction.

FOR PROPERTY IN ATLANTA:

1. Visit the Atlanta zoning web site and enter your parcel ID number and other information, the zoning category will appear.
2. Go to the Code of Ordinances web site and enter your zoning category in the search field.

FOR PROPERTY IN DEKALB COUNTY:

1. Visit the Dekalb Tax Commissioner’s site
2. Enter your address and click “Search.”
3. Your tax record will appear and the parcel ID number is at the top of the page.

FOR PROPERTY IN FULTON COUNTY:

1. Visit the Fulton Tax Commissioner’s site
2. Click on property taxes on the navigation bar on the left side of the page.
3. Select “Search for a Tax Bill” in the body of the page.
4. Select “Real Estate” and “Street Address” and type in the address
5. Locate the parcel ID # on the tax bill
